• Freeze Dried Green Lipped Mussels from New Zealand. (Supplement 15% pure mussel powder): Green-lipped mussels (Perna canaliculus) contain a natural active complex of glycosaminoglycans (GAG), special omega-3 fatty acids (1), amino acids (2), trace elements (3) and natural antioxidants. In scientific studies with dogs administered 0.45 g per 10 kg of body mass, positive effects on arthritis symptoms were found (Bierer & Bui, 2002).

• Omega-3 fatty acids (Total omega-3 fatty acid content: 3.3%, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA): 0.2%, docohexaenoic acid (DHA): 3.0%: Additional high levels of omega fatty acids -3 reduce the usual ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids in the diet. This reduces inflammatory problems in the body naturally.

• Vitamin E (supplement: 5000 IU/kg) is crucial for the protection of unsaturated fatty acids (omega-3 fatty acids) and cartilage cells from oxidation by free radicals. • Vitamin C (2750 mg/kg supplement) is crucial for the body's own collagen production (synthesis). Under conditions of stress (joint pain, for example), your dog's body cannot produce enough vitamin C. Supplementing his diet with vitamin C therefore helps collagen formation and promotes joint stability and cartilage.
