BELCANDO® FIBER-Tabs specifically supplement the dog's supply of L-carnitine and a balanced combination of fiber known for its regulating effect on digestion and its satiating effect.

Dietary fiber is divided into :

• Insoluble fibers (e.g., cellulose, hemicellulose) contain no useful energy, so they reduce the energy density of the total ration when used as a supplement. They also influence the animal's intestine, solidifying its contents.
• Soluble fibers (e.g. pectin, pentosans), which are partially metabolized by intestinal bacteria, have a prebiotic effect on the intestinal flora.

Due to water retention, dietary fiber increases the transit time of intestinal contents and helps relieve diarrhea. Its high expansion rate also contributes to the satiating effect.

L-carnitine (supplement 6500 mg/kg, corresponds to 75 mg of L-carnitine per 10 kg of the dog's weight when given the recommended dose) ensures that the high volumes of fatty acids are properly processed into the metabolism and by-products (ketone bodies) can be eliminated from cells. L-carnitine helps burn fat, reduces fatty deposits in tissues and benefits cardiac activity.
